romb

Romb with its somewhat fluxing lineup has been active since 1997. It now constists of Peeter Salmela (citar, electric guitar), Arno Kalbus (tablas, drumkit), Kristjan Jõemägi (santoor, djembe), Siim Soop (double bass). Together with Kill Kaare (Bombillaz) Romb also performs as an ethnic percussion ensemble, employing African, Arabic, Indian and other percussive instruments. Romb incorporates elements of groovepop, rock, jazz and folk genres and influences of traditional tabla and citar music are also strongly evident in their sound.
