hundva

Hundva was founded in 1998 by Pearu Helenurm and Erno Võsa (guitars), the line-up also included Hello Upan (violin) and Kill Kaare (percussion). The aim was to improvise on acoustic instruments, hopefully creating the atmosphere of medieval secular music. As more and more members joined the gang, till the number eventually reached nine, Hundva soon found itself playing something quite different, which, for the lack of a better term can be described as acoustic folk-prog-pop-something. The group split in 2002. Despite being quite productive, no proper studio recordings were ever made. The tracks that you can hear on this site are excerpts from rehearsal tapes.

Most of the members are still active in other groups more or less associated with MKDK: Brigitta Davidjants, Erle Võsa-Tangsoo and Kill Kaare with Atlas, the latter also with Bombillaz using the alias Kill Baba, Pearu Helenurm and Allan Prooso play with Phlox und Hello Upan ist Liebfraumilch. And, naturally, all of them have been on stage at EBDBB events.
